Communicating with people face-to-face is better than communication through letters, email, or telephone calls. Talking to people face-to-face gives us a better idea and a clear view of what the person is actuflly delivering. If we fail to express ourselves in a proper manner through words then there is a chance of misapprehension and that may lead to problems. Where as, while talking face-to-face our expressions are visible to the listener and he/she can interpret our words exactly. For example, if two persons of two different accents are talking on phone than they ,may have little misunderstanding but when they talk face-to- face they can have a better idea from each other's facial expression as to what they are exactly up to.
In the same way, people from different countries have different accent. Although they manage to speak English as said they may not carry out the same accent as does other. To avoid any confusion face-to-face communication is better where we can frame a better picture of what the other individual is telling.
In other way, when communicating face-to-face we can give ourselves better opportunities than through telephone calls, letters or e-mails. For example, if we consider marketing people, they are more effective when they meet people directly, and they can show their product demonstrate it, clear the doubts of the customer immediately and can show their product demonstrate it, clear the doubts of the customer immediately and can sell therirr product much easily than they could have done through telephone, or letters. Communicating face-to-face leaves the listener with no other chance than to hear you unlike with telephone calls, emails, or letters where in they can be ignored. Nowadays there are various types of communication, the traditional face-to-face conversation, the exchange letters or emails, telephone communications.
Face to face communication is undoubtlyfully more lively and exciting than an indirect one. Firstly, because we use not only speech but also the so called "body" language. Mimics, expressions, gestures can say a lot about the other person's feelings and emotions, something that could not be seen through any type of indirect communication. Moreover, in a convessation we are more natural because we decide what to say on the spur of the moment, while in the written forms of communications we read several times what we have written, correct and rewrite it. That's why conversation are much more vital and spontaneous and many people prefer them to indirect communication.
However, while lively and pleased, talking face-to-face can be also very difficult and sometimes em-brassing. Then letters and e-mails help us to express what we feel. For example, an apologies or request in written form is often preferred. It is not also easy to share with others your deepest feelings and emotions. The best way to express them is to write. Writing has also one more advantage - it can reach different people in different places at different times. There are no spaces or time limits for written speech.
Telephone communication and chatting on the other hand, have common features with both live conversations and letter correspondence. They are much like talking but do not possess its charm and vitality. In the same time they give you the chance to express indirectly what you would like to say and thus avoid an uncomfortable situation. And what's more, through telephone and Internet you can talk with people on the opposite side of the world just as you sit in your chair. So, to sum up, indirect communications, such as letter or e-mail correspondence are very convenient when we want to talk to people, many miles away from us. However, none of them has the charming effect of a real, face-to-face communication.
